About the Team SAP SOTC Functional Consultant for a world-leading pharmaceutical company headquartered in the United Kingdom. The candidate is expected to be a member of a team of functional consultants for a large SAP support and maintenance project, spanning several SAP landscapes across continents.
The candidate should possess broad functional knowledge in his/her domain and in-depth technical knowledge in the relevant SAP module. Proven expertise in configuring and supporting SAP landscapes is essential.
Role and Responsibilities Resolve any SAP issues reported by business users and deliver all enhancements as required. Complete all tasks assigned by the team lead and project manager. Review solutions designed by team members and propose improvements. Proactively work with business users to identify and resolve recurring issues. Understand and design EDI requirements with customers and external partners. Own certain niche processes within broader domain areas such as Electronic Invoicing, Notafiscal, CFDI, and EDI interfacing to third-party systems. Prepare functional designs, perform system configuration, and conduct relevant testing and deployment of the designed business solution. Required Skills and Experience In-depth functional understanding of respective work streams and expert knowledge in configuration and maintenance of SAP systems. Communicate closely with the ABAP development team. Minimum 1 full implementation of the SD module. Experience and knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules (FI and MM). In-depth knowledge of EDI X12 Messaging, mapping, and translation. Good understanding of SAP IDOCS Processing. Experience working with external warehouses and electronic communication. Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences/pharmaceutical domain. Ability to understand business requirements and prepare and review functional specifications. Very good understanding of integration of SAP modules in end-to-end business processes. Understanding of ITIL processes and Application Lifecycle Management. Ability to work in large and diverse teams. Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies. Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements with experience in a validated environment. Ability to guide and mentor junior team members. Strong sense of ownership and high level of accountability. Aware of release governance processes and experience in incident management tools. Experience with various estimation techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Well-versed in English and Spanish; excellent spoken and written skills. Portuguese is a plus.
