**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Position Summary:
The Scrum Master is responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide, more specifically helping Product Owners and teams maximize value, speed and quality of product increments delivered. Scrum Masters do this by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values.
The Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master helps those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren't. The Scrum Master helps everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team.
Specifically, this scrum master will be responsible for monitoring, motivating, and accelerating a Scrum team developing solutions for next generation Driver Assistance products and features for commercial vehicles.
Essential Functions:
- The Scrum Master serves the Product Owner in several ways, including:
- Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible;
- Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management;
- Understanding product planning in an empirical environment;
- Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value;
- Understanding and practicing agility; and,
- Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed.
- The Scrum Master serves the Development Team in several ways, including:
- Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality;
- Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items;
- Helping the Development Team to create high-value products;
- Removing impediments to the Development Team's progress;
- Causing change that increases the productivity of the team
- Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed; and,
- Coaching the Development Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood.
- The Scrum Master serves the organization in several ways, including:
- Helping the organization in its Scrum adoption;
- Supporting Scrum implementations within the organization;
- Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development;
- Lead and support DAS team(s) in an Agile/SCRUM environment
- Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices to achieve continuous improvement in the quality Scrum, reduction of cycle times, and growth of team capability.
- Removing impediments by understanding the causes and finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Coordinate multiple team's deployment with Product Owner release plans.
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog.
- Work with the team to create product increments that meet the Definition of Done compliant with the Global Change Management process and ASPICE concepts (V-model development, requirements traceability), using tools such as Teamcenter PLM and PTC Integrity

- Broad automotive and electronic systems knowledge, preferably related to heavy truck.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols including J1939, UDS, and CCP.
- Technical knowledge of Driver Assistance system components and impact on overall vehicle performance.
- Familiar with CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, Matlab, Simulink, dSpace, Python, and TruckSim
- Knowledge and experience with product quality tools such as system FMEA, DVP&R, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and Functional Safety Concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of air brake systems is a plus.
