Job Summary:Key Responsibilities:- Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team and that the team understands and practices agility- Facilitates Scrum events as needed, and reinforces the teams agreed upon rules including the definition of ready and done- Finds techniques for effective backlog management, and ensures the Product Owner knows how to arrange the product backlog to maximize value- Coaches the team in scrum values and practices, self-organization, cross functionality, and empirical planning and development- Helps the team create high value products by removing impediments, and protecting the team from distractions and complacency- Causes change both inside and outside the team, to maximize the value delivered by the team- Coordinates with other teams as needed- Leads team efforts in relentless improvement by helping team members take responsibility for their actions, facilitating the team retrospectives, and teaching problem-solving techniques.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job does not have supervisory dutiesPreferred Qualifications:Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience- 2 or more years of related experienceCertificates, Licenses, Registrations- Professional Scrum Master 1, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum MasterFunctional Skills- Has practical experience working in software development environments- Has practical experience facilitating meetings and fostering collaboration across diverse groups of individuals- Has knowledge and understanding of Agile values and principles (Agile Manifesto)- Has knowledge and understanding of Scrum values, principles, and practices (Scrum Guide)- Has knowledge and understanding of Servant Leadership- Has experience influencing others in a professional setting- Ability to attend regular Scrum Master CoP- Have a basic understanding of the PO Role, Story Writing and their responsibilitiesNational General prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary.
