- The Scrum Master performs a wide variety of scrum team-related duties for software development,
- team status monitoring, and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reporting. The Scrum Master works
- closely with all Product Owner and other stakeholders to schedule and organize sprint ceremonies
- and team related events. If selected you will be working with talented global teams consisting of
- software, system, and test engineers. Aptiv develops cutting edge advanced driver-assistance
- systems, and user experience products which enhances vehicle safety.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor the team's progress towards goals by focusing on performance improvements
- Lead the team in tracking and removing impediments
- Lead team efforts in continuous improvement through effective retrospectives.
- Evaluate and assess the agile maturity of the team; coach team to higher levels
- Build a trusting environment with focus on problem solving
- Facilitate team meetings; daily stand-up, iteration and sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
- Aid with communication, improving transparency
- Provide guidance to Product Owner and team on maintaining backlog and sprint planning
- Provide support and coach the team on effective work breakdown, estimation and planning
- Facilitate preparation and readiness for Program Iteration (PI) planning and follow-up
- Ensure strong collaboration with Scrum Coordinators and Software Quality Assurance
**Must Haves (Basic Qualifications)**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
- At least 6 months of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
- Bilingual - proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
- Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
- Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
- Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
- Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile
- Familiarity with scaled Agile framework
**Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)**:
- Scrum Master certification
- Experience with Automotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability determination)
- Experience with SDLC Sofware development Lifecycle tools such as JIRA, Requirements management tool (like Polarion), Configuration management tool (like Plastic)
- Demonstrated ability in creation and review of project specific documentation
- Experience with Automotive Embedded product development
