About the role
The Scrum Master II is a servant leader that supports the development team and product owner to increase business agility and maximize value delivered.
Type of contract: Fixed Term (6 months) What you need:
Must exhibit strong knowledge of agile frameworks including Scrum from multiple teams/productsDemonstrated evidence of a servant leadership mindsetProficient in the use of Agile delivery tools such as Azure DevOpsDemonstrated evidence of continuous learning mindsetAbility to teach and train on Agile, Scrum, Kanban at a level accessible to beginners and dive deep for advanced topicsA change agent; progressively challenging the team to continuously improveGood understanding of product and sprint backlog tracking, burn down metrics and velocityGood negotiation, leadership, and written and verbal communication skillsGood knowledge, skills, and ability working in a collaborative team environmentExcellent people skills, with an ability to understand and diverse viewpointsHigh Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills)Ability to understand GM Financials business; apply knowledge and critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutionsAbility to facilitate, coach and guide through influence, inspiration, collaboration and teamworkAbility to listen and communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writingAbility to coach and train Agile teams about their role before, during and after PI PlanningEstablish DoR, DoD with teams and Product owner on Story and Feature level wherever applicableSupport Release Train Engineer, IT Lead and business leaders by facilitating Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Review, Daily Stand-up etc.Provides coaching and training to the Agile Team(s) on how to execute the Scrum frameworkBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience required3-5 years experience working in a digital environment in a leadership role required3-5 years project management experience required2-3 years experience as Scrum Master preferredScrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM) or PMI-ACP required What you will be doing:
Guiding and coaching the Scrum Teams on how to apply agile values and principles, and use the Scrum Framework to delight customersProtect the development team from outside influences and remove impedimentsBuilding a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solvingFacilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the workAssisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationSupporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and ordering the product backlogWorking closely with the Product Owner to ensure product backlog is visible and prioritized towards business valueFacilitating various Scrum events such as: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint RetrospectivesEmpowering the team to be self-organizedPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and procedures What we offer:
