Security Engineer

Preferred Qualifications BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 years of software engineering or related experience. 1+ years of hands-on experience, preferably Exadata. Strong desire to grow and improve MAA Exadata Security best practices and solutions, including architecture, configuration, and life cycle best practices based on projects, testing, and collaboration. Linux operating system and hardware/network knowledge are preferable. Troubleshooting and administration skills. Experience with security and compliance is a plus! STIG/CIS system hardening, PCI-DSS/FedRamp compliance, Qualys/Nessus vulnerability scanning, CVE/CVSS, NIST/ISO. Programming skills in Java, Python, bash shell scripting, and/or automation. Solid communication and collaboration skills are a must. Detailed Description Candidate will be testing, evaluating, and creating new Exadata Security MAA practices, working with the MAA team and other development organizations. Under the guidance of the team lead, design/develop security solutions and troubleshoot/debug security issues for the Exadata platform in regard to the operating system, Ethernet network, Infiniband network, storage servers, certificates, SSH/SSL, and cryptography. Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization. Career Level - IC3
