**Description**:
As an International Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the movement of our clients import and / or export shipments.
You will coordinate and be the main point of contact for our import and / or export shipments from initial client contact up to final destination in compliance with governmental regulations and Logistics policies and procedures.
**IMPORT**
- Anticipate inbound shipments based on available information, proactively track shipments.
- Communicate with carrier to confirm shipment arrival and release.
- Communicate with customs broker to confirm customs clearance and shipment availability.
- Coordinate inland transportation with local Carrier pickup of freight or container from shipping line and delivery to warehouse.
**EXPORT**
- Specializes in transportation and freight across global markets.
- Process sales orders create Pro-Forma invoices and fulfill spare part orders requests.
- Determine appropriate shipping methods and prepare the required documentation.
- Demonstrate proficiency and maintain knowledge of shipping terminology to correctly instruct the custom broker of the proper terms of any given shipment.
- Communicate with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner for pre alerts, rate quotes and shipment status from pick up to delivery per International Commerce
- Work with ocean and air carriers to maintain current rates and spot quotes as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong ability to professionally communicate with customers and peers in a detailed and customer satisfaction-oriented manner.
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Problem solving and analytical skills to monitor compliance and key performance indicators.
- Two year's experience in international shipping.
- Be able to understand business operations and financial management with cross cultural versatility.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency or ability to learn: ERP SAP, PC skills including use of spreadsheets and database systems, and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
