The Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account informationGeneral Responsibilities- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile financial information- Analyze current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule- Support month-end and year-end close process- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls- Liaise with management to improve financial procedures- Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Experience / Qualifications- A university degree required (i.E.
