.We need to increase the capability level and workload capacity of the Accounting team so that part-time CFO can focus on higher-level responsibilities.- Manage financial accounts for the Parent company & 1 subsidiary across several different lines of business- Well-developed knowledge of US accounting practices (GAAP)- Demonstrated experience overseeing the accounting staff- Project management experience and the ability to identify problems, research solutions, propose plans of action and implement change.- Proven experience and comfort with technology, including implementation of software and technology solutions to automate or improve processes**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES****People Management & Training**:- Oversee 1 full-time bookkeeper on staff- Improve SOPs and processes**Tax**:- Complete US Sales tax payments- Oversee VAT payments for the UK, Canada**A/P & A/R**:- Approve payroll and large vendor payments- Expense reduction/audit/reconciliation- Monitor the SAAS subscription database- Oversee customer financial accounts including invoice financing**Reporting**:- Preparing & analyzing monthly financials- Budget vs actual reporting- Cash forecast by leveraging Inventory Planner**Process Improvement**:- Review and update a monthly close task list- Technology implementation**SOFTWARE**Ideal applicants at least have 2+ years of experience working with the following or something similar:- ERP or inventory/order management software- Xero accounting or Quickbooks Online- US GAAP accounting- Inventory Planner or DEAR experience- Retail & eCommerce: Shopify, Amazon, SPS Commerce EDI- Admin/other: Google Suite, Slack, etc.Some training provided but self-learning is a must:- Airtable- ClickUp**SKILLSET**- **Leadership** - Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise junior-level subordinates- **Extremely organized and process driven**.
