The Senior Accountant is a trusted resource to the Accounting Manager, and is responsible for facilitating an accurate and consistent, global financial close process for the Company.
What You Will Do:Ensure books are closed in 4 days:Maintain prepaid schedules in accordance with contract/invoice terms and record related amortizationRoll forward fixed asset registers for additions and disposals, and record related depreciation and any gain/loss; liaise with Business Services for annual inventory auditReconcile intercompany balances and record entries as neededAccrue for accounts payable and expense reports post-cutoffEnsure recurring accruals are posted throughout the yearPrepare balance sheet reconciliations for 5 legal entitiesReview results against budget to help identify variances to plan and/or errorsManage accounts payable:Ensure all invoices are accurately processed and timely paidWork with budget owners to ensure postings align with budgetOversee Bill.com administration, including cleanup and sync errorsManage vendors, including collection of W8s/W9sProcess year end 1042 and 1099 reportingAdminister the Company's credit card program:Review credit card receipts from cardholders for proper account codingReconcile monthly statements to the general ledgerWork with cardholders to establish vendor payment terms in lieu of using cardsIssue new cards, set appropriate credit limits and process temporary increases as neededResearch suspected fraudulent activityMonitor bank accounts daily and post transactional entries to the GLSupport annual financial and statutory auditsAssist with tax information requests and compliance projectsServe as a functional backup for team members by cross-training on accounts receivable, cash receipts, equity administration, order entry and payrollSeek improvements to the finance department's technology stack and process workflowsOther duties as may be necessaryWhat You Have Done:5+ years general ledger experience in a Staff or Senior position3+ years SaaS solutions experience (Bill.com, Expensify, Intacct)Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business related fieldProficiency with Excel and Google SheetsInternational payroll experience a plusWhat Will Make You Stand Out:AnalyticalDetail orientedHighly organized, dependable, and reliableEmpatheticAdaptable, resourceful, able to work within ambiguityCreative and curious - find a better wayStrong interpersonal skills - diplomatic, tactful, collaborative
