RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examines, analyzes, and interprets complex accounting records for the purpose of ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue under ASC 606 in compliance with GAAP.
- Support month-end close and external financial and internal control audits.
- Compile account information and prepare monthly journal entries
- Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations
- Work with global colleagues on intercompany revenue and expense. Recording of transactions impacting the BS and PL. Completion of global reconciliation
- Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
- Assist with compiling year-end external audit and internal audit requests
- Assist the Assistant Controller and Controller with any ad hoc research, clean-up, reporting projects
- Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in accounting
- At least four (4) years of accounting experience.
- Excellent knowledge of accrual accounting, account reconciliations, as well as knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros)
- Excellent resolution and follow up skills.
- Innovative and creative for collaborating on projects and process improvements.
- Strong IT/systems ability and adaptability to ERP systems
- Ambitious and diligent with commitment to improvement and high standard of work
- Willingness to work overtime
