.We are looking for a Senior Accountant Mexico who has strong communication skills, is a self-starter, ready to take initiatives, a team player, with a positive mindset, precision, and accuracy to join us in our team, based in CDMX.About the roleThe Senior Accountant role supports Mexico Accounting and Reporting local and Global processes, forming part of worldwide results. Due to their strong expertise and skills within their discipline, they act as subject matter experts. Within their area of expertise and established procedures and practices, they work autonomously and are able to present and discuss results.What you'll doBalance sheet preparation on a monthly basis under local regulations.Review and reconciliation of each account in the balance sheet for tracking issues or ageing.Interact with local auditors regarding the statutory audit and prepare all the needed information to solve the process.Provide on a monthly basis the information required to present the tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, Indirect Taxes).Execute the local payments process (Ex Taxes, payroll, phone, miscellaneous expenses).Review the vendors ageing and support the SSC team in India to run the weekly payment proposals.Manage the SSC Team in India.Accountable for the monthly group reporting (BI Global Stock).Ensure the creation of the accounting & costing view of new materials, to enable activation by MDM and allow usage in either manufacturing or purchasing process.Ensure the correct accounting treatment of the operational processes, both for group and local reporting.Ensure adherence to internal controls.Ensure accurate monthly accounting and reconciliation of own/treasury shares.Work in close collaboration with the Equity compensation manager to ensure compliance with accounting standards and accurate reporting (closely monitor recharges to other affiliates).Accountable for the correct accounting and reporting.Review and approve Cognos flows, cash flows, and MD&A for entities in scope.Responsible for the monthly fair value calculation of the financial assets in scope.Act as point of contact for creation and execution of the activities, supported by outsourced partners.Interested?
