.University degree Industrial or Mechanical engineering (similar)- Specific education: IATF16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, AIAG Advanced Quality Planning, PPAP, D/PFMEAs, Control Plans, DOEs, MSA/gaging/fixturing, Dimensional layouts, Manufacturing Quality Systems and SPC.- Must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, ability to work well in several teams at once, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance.- Leadership / management experience in YFAI, in Automotive or in similar product design / development and manufacturing industry is preferred.- Supplier Kick-off Meetings (for Design & Development Phase): Develop Quality expectations & participate.- Supplier DVPRs (for DV Release and Final Production Release Gates): Obtain, review for any failures, request modifications as necessary- Supplier Process Sign Off (PSO) and Containment Plan (for Final Production Release Gate)- Supplier Management - Conduct On-going Risk Assessments, Emphasis Builds, Corrective Action Escalations and Process Audits.- Develop the APQP for the supply base as defined business unit Quality Objective targets. Lead supplier team to ensure that these Quality Objectives. (PRP - AQP Workbook - BOS)- Assist Product Engineering to develop the DFMEA. Ensure development of the Prototype, Pre-Production and Production Control Plans (for DV Release, Final Production Release and Customer Part Approval Gates).- Develop the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program:- Negotiate, together with our Product Engineer and Program Manager, acceptable GD&T targets and acceptances.- Evaluate the gaging strategy required to meet the GD&T.- Ensure that Gage Studies (Gage R&R, Bias, Linearity and Stability) are conducted on all gaging used on the program and that appropriate corrective actions are taken to improve Gage R&R where data indicates.- Ensure the Manufacturing Quality Systems for the Prototype and Pre-Production builds (e.G., Operation Description Sheets, Incoming Inspection Instructions, Containment Instructions, etc.) specified on the Control Plan.- Ensure an Appearance Manual / Boundary Book associated with known acceptable / unacceptable product conditions. Ensure known unacceptable product conditions are listed on the Containment / Safe Launch Checklist for End-of-Line and Containment Inspections.- Review completed Inspection Reports for components and assemblies for the Prototype and Pre-Production builds. This includes identifying the parts required to be built, ensuring defect data is properly gathered in accordance with the Inspection Instructions and product drawings, compile the data into useful prioritized trends and develop root causes and corrective actions with the development team to counteract any resulting issues.- Assist Product Engineering and Program Manager to Develop Design Verification Plan & Reports (DVPR)
