The team you will be a part ofThe Procurement team identifies, researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluates sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.
This role in summaryThe New Product Readiness Senior Analyst is a critical role for product launch success, and reports to the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Product Management Senior Manager. The primary function of the role focuses on ensuring the readiness of our purchased parts on new product launches and cost and quality projects. The Senior NPR Analyst will be the primary contact representing the needs of Whirlpool to the supply base on project activities, and representing the supply internally to Whirlpool. Daily activities will include working with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and the supply base on schedule attainment and problem resolution. Balancing activities for multiple projects to ensure all priorities are met will be necessary. Other activities will include issuing capital and expense purchases orders, and some travel to suppliers for face-to-face reviews and readiness discussions.
Your responsibilities will includeThe objective of this position is to provide leadership over purchased parts readiness by:
Manage launch, cost, and quality projects throughout product life cycles to achieve unit cost targets, quality targets, and maintain program timing for assigned commodities.Develop a detailed action plan for each supplier to meet project deliverables.Coordinate internal deliverables to suppliers – demand planning, designs, quality, cost targets.Track and evaluate supplier activities against their launch plan.Monitor supplier quality deliverables.Validate, kick-off, and track supplier capital & tooling.Lead & coordinate day-to-day activities during the new model transition process for the supplier and cross-functional internal team – Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.Monitor and track key performance indicators for assigned commodities.Minimum requirements4+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain or engineering.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.Advanced English.Preferred skills and experiencesDemonstrated use of project management skillsDemonstrated ability to negotiate and use conflict resolution skillsAbility to build strong relationships with internal process partners and suppliersManage ambiguity via strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and business acumenAbility to manage and execute multiple key activities and competing prioritiesOn path to developing technical capability to become a subject matter expert.At Whirlpool Corporation, we value and celebrate diversity.
