**Your Job**As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and equipment to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety in manufacturing processes.**Our Team**You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design engineers, technicians, and professionals from various disciplines, to ensure successful integration and operation of automated systems.**What You Will Do**- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement automated systems and equipment.- Evaluate and determine appropriate processes, whether manual, semi-automated, or fully automated, based on product requirements.- Participate in DMF exercises to aid in the development of stable production environments.- Identify and develop Automation suppliers for required tooling, considering mechanical design, build quality, ergonomics, and flexibility.- Create and maintain detailed documentation related to the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems.- Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.- Perform machine qualification reports, including validation of associated processes and capabilities.- Travel up to 20%, including potential international travel, as required.**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, or manufacturing Engineering.- Senior-level experience in automation and process development.- Experience leading project development with vendors, from conceptualization to implementation.- Mechanical design experience; pneumatic, robotics.- Experience in the automation development industry.- Working experience in automation design, process implementation, and troubleshooting of serial production processes.- Ability to understand customer technical needs, specifications, and advanced automotive architecture, and correlate them to process design.- Willingness to travel up to 20%, including potential international travel (US Visa).**What Will Put You Ahead**- Knowledge of PLC, vision systems, and robotics.- Green belt qualification or higher.**Who we are**As a Koch company, Molex is a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect, components, driving innovation in electronics and supporting industries from automotive to health care and consumer to data communications.
