Detalles de la oferta

Senior Business Case & Strategy Consultant, MX Blue Power Partners is a global consultancy and project development company dedicated to advancing renewable energy. BPP supports leading developers, asset owners, and technology companies throughout the lifecycle of onshore/offshore wind, solar, power-to-X, and energy storage projects - from origination and development to construction and performance optimization.
We are currently seeking a Senior Business Case & Strategy Consultant to join our Commercial Excellence team in Mexico City, MX. In this role, you will work with leading private equity firms to originate and optimize investments in renewable infrastructure assets, including onshore wind, solar PV, batteries, and Power-to-X.
About the role As our Senior Business Case & Strategy Consultant, you will manage internal and client-facing work streams, operating within an agile, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.
Your responsibilities will evolve over time and across projects, but will primarily involve:
Taking end-to-end ownership of business case modeling and optimization for complex renewable energy projects (e.g. Power-to-X, hybrid wind & solar, storage, bioethanol, carbon-capture) across the Americas. Representing BPP in client-facing roles, providing strategic commercial and market insights for power-only and power-to-X projects. You will act as a commercially adept interface with other company projects and external stakeholders, building strong long-term relationships to facilitate smooth information sharing. Structuring and managing work streams to mature and de-risk business cases, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and third-party providers. Exploring, defining, adjusting, and effectively communicating the investment thesis behind each project, preparing, and presenting decision support materials for key stakeholders like investment committees. Quickly grasping, adjusting, and/or creating financial models of varying complexity to assess opportunities and understand the critical commercial drivers of clean energy infrastructure projects. Job Qualifications:  Bachelor's and/or master's degree in engineering, Energy Systems, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in the clean energy sector, either within the industry or from a complementary perspective (e.g. investment banking, private equity). Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, needs, and findings effectively and efficiently through both written and oral channels. Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Proficiency in math optimization, investment strategies, financial evaluation, data analysis, and technoeconomic/financial modeling, particularly with spreadsheet software. Strong business acumen and commercial understanding related to infrastructure projects. Ability to grasp complex projects and the interplay between commercial and technical aspects. Familiarity and/or proficiency with renewable energy (solar PV, wind) and Power-to-X (e.g. green hydrogen, ammonia) technologies and markets is preferred. Personal Attributes: Client-oriented, prioritizing honesty and professionalism to address both external and internal client needs. Ability to maintain a strategic, "big picture" perspective while also diving into the details of project execution. Persistent, persuasive, and adept at conveying significant meaning through concise language and compelling visualizations. Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity, seeing them as opportunities to shape solutions and create frameworks. Proactive, curious, and self-motivated, with a history of taking initiative to improve processes or acquire new skills. Open to collaborating with cross-cultural, international teams both on-site and remotely. Diligent and able to work independently with minimal supervision, assuming ownership of the problems you tackle. If our entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment aligns with your profile and you believe you can thrive in it, we encourage you to apply.
