We are searching for the best talent for Senior Component Engineer to be in Juarez, Salvarcar.
Purpose:
Complete projects with suppliers to provide uninterrupted flow of components for assemble operations that comply with the instrument requisites, quality, price, and delivery.
May serve as lead Operations engineer on a development/revision of a product of moderate complexity or have responsibility for multiple components of mfg. processes of significant complexity on the development/revision of a product. May contribute critical expertise across multiple product lines. May be responsible for direction and development of technical support staff. Plans, conducts and directs engineering projects or studies including complete projects requiring advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices within broad assignment areas. May coordinate and direct activities of technical support staff and may be responsible for, technical development of assigned staff.
You will be responsible for:
Under supervision and in accordance with all the laws / federal, state and local regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Complete technical projects with suppliers to improve supplier process, the maintenance capability of the supplier's process, the capability of instrument assemble and instrument output performance
- Determine the requirements of tools and spare parts to maintain the supply of components
- Provide technical support for the approbation / validation of changes / Supplier Process improvements
- Provide technical support for the resolution of component quality issues
- Potentially coordinates RMI/CAD/BOM actives
- Produce component cost comparisons and analyze alternative manufacturing methods for Cost Improvement Projects (CIP'S)
- Sustain supply chain continuity by qualifying and validating supplier tooling as per component approval procedures
- Ensures closure to component non-conformance issues with timely corrective action submission and approval of suppliers control plans
- Manages ETQ database for assigned NC's and CAPA's, completes actions by due dates and provides periodic updates to management
- Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area
- Supports supplier evaluations for major services / products, as needed
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities
- Follow J&J and CSS Record Management policies for Convenience Information, Records retention schedules, Training and education, Document Hold notices, Records cleanout, Inactive records and Information management, Vital records and third-party vendor, if applicable.
- Responsible to communicating business related issues or opportunities to next level management
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible of ensuring that subordinates follow all the Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned, as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- B.S. Engineering degree
- Generally, requires (4-6) years related experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactory perform the position responsibilities
- Bilingual English/ Spanish
