A Day in Your Life at MKS:
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Cost Accountant supporting multiple manufacturing sites in the USA with collecting data, allocating costs, and preparing reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly, or other operating expenses, ensuring established procedures are followed. In this position, you will also prepare journal entries, maintain, and reconcile ledger accounts as well as prepare financial statements and variance reports as requested. Ad hoc you may be required to do analysis and prepare special reports for management.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Completes Monthly Purchase Price Variance analysis and resulting capitalization and amortization entries for multiple factories. Prepares and publishes weekly and monthly operations reports. Reports cover Inventory, Labor Hours earned, various types of manufacturing cost (for example Scrap, Manufacturing Variances, Warranty). Completes costing of new products. Prepares and ensures accuracy of standard cost of sales, variances, scrap and other recurring journal entries detailing cost of sales and inventory. Reports on asset utilization, cycle count accuracy and completeness. Participates in annual budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple facilities as requested by Ops and/or BU Finance staffs. Performs other duties as required. Prepares and analyzes monthly and quarterly operating expense forecasts, using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) tool. Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or cost accounting experience. Strong working knowledge of SAP. Experience with Business Objects and Hyperion are preferred. Advanced experience with MS Office. Excellent communication skills. Fluently bi-lingual (English and Spanish). Detail oriented. Proven ability to thrive in team environment with tight deadlines.
