They should have experience in performing the role on real estate projects including but not limited to hotels, high-rise mixed-use developments, residential towers, corporate offices, retail, and shopping malls.They will be serving as the Cost Lead, where they will be required to provide cost management services, including:Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity take-offs, along with contract preparation and management.Preparing and reviewing detailed estimates and cost plans.Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project.Managing the procurement process and participating in negotiations.Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.Preparing and issuing monthly post-contract cost reports.Value engineering and life cycle costing.Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.Leading a cost management team where appropriate.Managing financial systems and tracking ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts.Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.Reviewing and approving subcontractor proposals and payment applications.Advising the Project Manager/Client of any forecasted unforeseen cost or over-expenditure.Traveling to various site locations when required.QualificationsThe candidate should have:A minimum of 12 years professional experience related to Cost Management.A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or any degree relevant to the position.RICS, AACE Certifications/Memberships.Fluency in English and Spanish.Strong communication skills and experience explaining concepts to clients.Strong Microsoft skills, specifically Excel & PowerPoint, and knowledge of CostX and AutoCAD.Additional InformationTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
