**What You'll Do**
- Provide advisory and guidance to the Investment Bank's Broker-Dealer Operations in Mexico including coverage, origination product teams with regard to Legal topics, in particular contract negotiation and execution with our clients (mainly and mostly for trading of Derivative products, Bond intermediation and FX operations).
- Support the Corporate Governance activities of the entity, supporting the Corporate Secretary of de Board of Directors, and some of the Committees such as Audit and Compensations. This position will act as deputy secretary of these corporate bodies.
- Act as a Legal single point of contact for the Emerging Markets business with a nexus to Mexico & Latin America and coordinate all legal matters associated with the operation of the business when dealing with Mexico domiciled clients.
- Coordinate the different litigation matters that are related with the local legal entity, with the assistance of external counsels (who directly manage the litigation matters) acting as liaison between them and the internal structure (Business and regional Legal).
- Provide legal counseling to other business lines and officers in Mexico and around the world, for legal topics related to Mexico domiciled clients.
- Act as the first point of contact and initial legal advisor for all the infrastructure teams, such as Operations, Finance, HR, Real estate, etc.
**How You'll Lead**
- Assist regional and global business heads to identify and mitigate material risks on both individual clients/transactions as well as for the holistic portfolio.
- Engage, collaborate and leverage key members of Legal advisory across other jurisdictions and product coverage teams
**Skills You'll Need**
- Solid legal expertise in financial entities (banks or broker dealers), with background in the legal background ruling the operations of such entities. A Law degree and a valid license to practice law in Mexico is required.
- Experience in negotiating Master Agreements for Trading with financial derivative products (ISDA/CMOF)
- Experience in emerging markets businesses and products globally
- Excellent collaboration skills across multiple jurisdictions; and ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Fluency in English and Spanish required (Portuguese is a plus)
