WHAT WE OFFER
Main Responsibilities
- Implement all CSA (Civil, Structure, Architectural) engineering procedures (e.g., progress reporting, change management, squad checks, standard issues) to ensure interdisciplinary engineering requirements adhered too across all Disciplines within the Project Group
- Responsible for all CSA technical aspects of the project including work scope definition, detail design and engineering, material procurement support, field implementation support, inspection coordination, survey coordination, project commissioning support, closeout documentation and as-built drawings to ensure complete and consistent engineering packages
- Perform calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures by hand and computer analysis
- Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Adhere to US industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
- Coordinate closely with the PM and provide them with information and insights on technical issues that arise; suggest ways to handle issues effectively
- Distribute CSA related inputs to support project team with CSA know how (Civil, Structure, Architectural, HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting, Cost Evaluation, Modeling works, Plot Plan).
- Prepare documentation for CSA (basic, detail, interface, final; e.g.
in EPDS 1-99 Project File Structure) to ensure package delivery in full compliance.
- Provide technical expertise in the tendering process and in negotiations with the Project EPC and suppliers to support project manager controlling project.
- Work with PM's to drive the daily / weekly activities (Engineering Work Processes) to achieve milestones and deliverables
- Define & manage the design battery limits & interfaces of 3rd Parties (Design subcontractors/consultants; contractors/vendors; EP(s)C(M) contractor to ensure that interface related scope requirements are meet.
- Support expediting for all CSA critical items (eng.
documents, technical goods) to ensure quality and quantity of CSA technical goods to execute project
- Liaise with PM and Technical Committee to propose and implement technical or technological solutions
- Manage and coordinate the preparation, quality and consistency check & compilation of the design packages
- Coordinate set-up & management of block plan, plot plan, underground coordination plan on project level to meet quality performance
- Clearly delineate and communicate the interface points between projects to ensure efficiency and avoid conflicts or missed engineering
- Transfer of engineering requirements to construction organization and supports construction activities ( RFI, contractors submittal reviews, etc.)
- Support preparation and execution of commissioning and start-up activities for Project to meet start-up requirements
Qualification Requirements (Education & Work Experience)
- University degree with major in Architectural Engineering / Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or another appropriate scientific discipline or equivalent qualifications with relevant work experience
- Extensive/In-depth work experience (4+ years) in engineering and design of petrochemical facilities
- Work experience (4+ years) as Lead Engineer in €2 million+ projects
- Experience (4+ years) with STAAD Pro, S3D, SPR, Smartsketch and AutoCAD
- Cross engineering discipline experience
