If you're looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you're in the right place.About you and this roleWe have a great opportunity for a Senior Customs & Trade Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Terneuzen, The Netherlands.As a Senior Customs & Trade Compliance Coordinator, you handle a variety of exceptions in the customs process and advise internal customers on general trade compliance related issues. This role requires full proficiency in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. You work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight typically only on complex new assignments. You provide solutions to analytical or scientific problems in situations that are atypical or occur infrequently based on existing precedents or procedures. You act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.In this role, you will develop full proficiency in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and on-the-job experience. You will need to be able to apply knowledge of technical processes and procedures to perform a range of work assignments. You need to understand how multiple teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve objectives and be able to explain complex technical information to members of your own team and other teams.It is your responsibility to provide solutions to operational or analytical problems using established procedures and practices. You will serve as an informal resource on analytical, scientific method, or operational processes for less experienced team members. Your performance impacts the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team's work. You will receive supervision on new complex assignments.ResponsibilitiesHandles daily exceptions and facilitates resolutions between Site Logistics, carriers, and government authorities.Reports to government agents on a daily basis.Resolves issues related to issuing of border crossing documents (ATRs/EURs).Performs first level escalation for operational issues identified by the Customs Administrator.Participates in Supply Chain resourcing projects.Supports the administrative process in the trade compliance team
