PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery (ECS) is responsible for running customer landscapes around the globe in a 24x7 operations model. We operate a variety of important and business-critical SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach. We are responsible for building and operating the external customer systems for ECS Delivery.
As part of the ECS Operations Team, the Global Database Team is responsible for all databases. We support critical projects and administration in the Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery environment.
Driving continuous improvement is our main focus to increase operation, availability, and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption are also important parts. Global thinking and a strong customer focus are essential within the new ECS Delivery program.
Work Experience: 8 to 10 Years of Work experienceExperience in Operations Support in a Global TeamSLA upkeep and Customer Satisfaction initiativesDatabase Specific: Experience in different database concepts, preferably HANA or ASESAP Product suite knowledge is a plusExposure to automation tools/scripting or processesDB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementationProviding technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of SystemsContinuous support of SAP systems and problem-solvingDevelopment of concepts and tools to solve and prevent problems and to increase efficiencyWorking in international teams and driving global knowledge transfer and best practicesDB performance optimization on a detailed levelWillingness to take on-call duty/Weekend tasksWilling to work with additional and new databases like HANA, SybaseDB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copy, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication is a must.
