The successful candidate will lead workplace investigations, respond to employee issues, and provide ER expertise on labor environment trends and best practices.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement ER strategies, programs, and policies for Micron Semiconductor MexicoLead workplace investigations and respond to employee issues in accordance with ER's global investigation policy and processProvide ER expertise on labor environment trends and best practices in Mexico and North AmericaAdvise People Organization partners, employees, and business leadership on people management challenges, policies, procedures, and employment lawsPartner with global business people partners, centers of excellence, and the global people service center team to provide guidance and recommendations on team member issues and enhance People organization programsWork with the Legal department to effectively manage team member issuesConduct relevant trainings for leaders and managersPlan, execute, and monitor team member separations, severance, and restructuring activitiesProvide leadership and support in labor union relations, staying updated on local trends, industry issues, and government prioritiesUtilize data analytics to generate insights that inform and improve employee relations strategiesRequirements:Eight years of work experience in Employee Relations, preferably in the manufacturing or technology sector, in leadership positionsDirect experience in labor relations, with a strong understanding of Mexican and US labor law and practices, as well as global labor standards and issuesCritical thinking skills, keen sense of urgency, independent decision making, exacting standards of compliance, and passion about doing the right thing for the company and its peopleStrong people skills, with a good command of written and spoken EnglishEffective communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive and well-organized ideas in both written and verbal formAble to influence and build trusting relationshipsAble to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and appropriately manage conflictSalary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per yearWe offer a comprehensive compensation package, including health insurance, 401(k), and generous paid time off.
