iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Tax Specialist who wants to have responsibility for employment tax compliance to help drive our goal of 'Paying the Planet'.
All our roles can be performed remotely with occasional visits to the office as requested by your manager. Where we have office locations, our team members are welcome to work remotely on a hybrid basis or fully office-based as they wish.
Role Overview Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success! As Senior Employment Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and leading daily activities related to payroll tax compliance obligations. You will collaborate with other teams from iiPAY and clients to ensure streamlined and compliant payroll tax operations.
Key objectives of the role The successful candidate requires a minimum of 5 years of employment tax experience and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in the following areas:
Gather documentation and assist in the analysis and remittance of tax compliance for local payroll tax using thorough and in-depth knowledge of local tax regulations. Experience with executing and managing procedures before local authorities, both in person and through their virtual portals, including audits, opening and closure of a business in IMSS, notifications of changes, among others. Collaborate with clients to resolve any requirement or audit of Social Security, housing, and local authority. Provide appropriate support to iiPAY internal teams and clients related to employment tax compliance obligations. Ensure the accuracy of the salary tax withholdings, payroll taxes, social security contributions, and payroll stamping. What are we looking for in you? Minimum 5 years of employment tax experience, preferably at a big four or multinational. Comprehensive knowledge of the country tax system including the local documentation and filing requirements. Experience of audit & tax processes, ability to work with external auditors and tax advisors. Strong knowledge of Social Security, Housing, and Local regulations. Strong knowledge of employment tax compliance issues, including all regulatory compliance environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills / bilingual (English/Spanish). Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Oracle & SAP. Excellent time management & organizational skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform in a fast-paced environment & respond quickly. Capacity to manage multiple priorities.
