**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting various planning, forecasting, causaling and reporting processes and analyses in support Rockwell's businesses and regions. The role reports to the Global Analytics and Insights organization. The Senior Financial Analyst provide business and functional partners with information to manage performance and support decision making, while driving operational excellence in the process. The role utilizes global consolidation financial systems EPM Cloud, SAP, Power BI to provide performance reporting and insight on a variety of key financial metrics including commercial expenses and capital project. The Senior Analyst also works to automate processes and support simplification and standardization efforts.
**Scope of duties may include**:
- Present and explain financial performance and key variances and changes vs. forecast, plan and prior year
- Provide value-added advice and analysis supporting decisions which need to be made to meet operational and financial goals
- Provide risk and opportunity assessment of financial performance to forecast and budget on ongoing bases
- Create ad hoc analyses and respond to business inquiries to understand material drivers of financial performance
- Develop financial plans utilizing business partner input and leveraging standard tools and processes to enable clear explanations for financial performance in a particular region, function or business.
- Analyze potential investments to identify payback, feasibility and prioritize
- Develop and advocate for automation, simplification, and standardization in reporting.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of FP&A (Controlling) experience and 5 years of finance or related business experience
- Process improvement focus and proactive mindset with an eagerness to learn the business
- Demonstrated ability to interpret financial results and develop key takeaways and insights
- Critical thinking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong ownership and ability to drive issues to resolution
- Adept at leveraging financial systems and desktop apps to "drill down" to find answers
- Ability to work effectively across time zones, businesses, and functions to resolve issues
- Proactively handle tight deadlines, juggle conflicting priorities and work well under time pressure without close supervision in a very dynamic environment.
