Sola Wood Flowers is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our team.
You will work closely with our marketing & design teams to own front-end changes to our direct-to-consumer Shopify site!
We are flexible around experience level, and comfortable hiring someone with between 2 to 10 years of work experience.

At Sola Wood Flowers, we are transforming what artificial flowers can be by providing better flowers for less with our affordable eco-friendly wooden flowers and currently serve over 6% of American weddings annually.
We're working towards building a modernized $100mm+ vertically-integrated platform selling through direct-to-consumer, owned retail and traditional wholesale channels.
Sola Wood Flowers has grown to ~100 people in less than 4 years and is looking to continue our rapid-growth with the right Senior Developer!
Our founders have successfully started, bought and sold consumer brands in the past, and are looking to do it again with Sola Wood!

**Key Objectives**:

- Own the development and deployment of front-end site changes/improvements.
- Work closely with marketing and design teams to ideate & triage new functionality and site changes.
- Help build ad-hoc tools for our manufacturing & production team.
**Requirements**:

- Deep experience with Shopify, comfortable with vanilla JS, HTML, CSS, Ruby, Liquid, etc.
- Experience with go-to eCommerce tools like Google Analytics and Optimize.
- An understanding of best practices around eCommerce conversion rate optimization.
- Fluent in English.
- OK with working in-person out of our facility in Monterrey.
- No problem jumping into any part of the business.
You are eager and ready to learn!
- Are able to provide references as requested.

**Examples of What You'll Be Doing**:

- Making changes to our website ranging from simple UI/UX tweaks, to building out enhanced functionality and tools for customers.
- Building a price comparison tool that allows customers to pick what flowers they need for their wedding, and then see the total cost of our wedding flowers (sola) versus silk or natural alternatives.
- Hiring third-party agencies and contractors on an as-needed basis - and managing them.
- Developing a tool that allows customers to customize their bouquet visually before purchasing it.
- Designing, setting up and deploying conversion rate optimization split tests with Google Optimize.
**How Our Hiring Works & How We Operate**:

- When hiring, we'll work with you to define the KPIs you'll be responsible for and set targets.
This removes ambiguity around wondering if you're doing a good job after you start.
- Initial soft interview, then a long-form live technical interview with the appropriate department.
Our average time-to-hire from our first interview is ~8 - 10 days.
We pride ourselves on timely responses and updates for applicants.
- We run on EOS/Traction.
If you've used Scaling Up or something like OKRs, you'll likely slip into Traction easily!
If you haven't used it before, we recommend quickly researching Traction.

- This position is eligible for our 100% bonus program.
