Senior Legal Associate, International Energy And

**About our client**

Our client—a leading energy and infrastructure fund—is expanding its operations and seeks a Senior Legal Associate to join its legal team in Mexico City. You will have the chance to work alongside senior management and a junior team on multiple transactions, ensuring the fund's investments comply with all legal aspects, as well as the entire structure of the fund and its' investment vehicles. The position is based in Mexico City

**What the job involves**
- Prepare and structure transactions, as well as perform legal due diligence.
- Support portfolio and asset management teams.
- Provide strategic advice to investment and risk identification teams.
- Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other investment documents.
- Monitor compliance with corporate governance of the fund and its investment vehicles.
- Preparation of day-to-day legal documents such as assembly minutes, entries in books, titles, others.
- Provide advice on regulatory issues, compliance, governance, and litigation matters.
- Development of internal policies and procedures.
- Handle the hiring process of external lawyers and consultants.
- Supervision of a junior team.
- Directly advise senior investment professionals and functional partners.
- Provide advice on legal and regulatory issues related to the structuring, marketing, and launching new investment funds and other products.

**Who we are looking for**
- Solid experience in corporate law, M&A and structuring transactions and commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors (power generation, oil & gas, transportation, water, etc)
- Proactive, organized, and detail oriented.
- Superior negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
