Volvo Cars is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange.Overview:The Senior Legal Counsel, Mexico ("Senior Counsel") is responsible for enabling the legal strategy for the Company in a manner consistent with the Company's values, by providing comprehensive legal support and serving as a member of the executive leadership team in Mexico. The Legal Counsel is responsible for handling legal matters in Mexico while working in close partnership with the global legal team and senior leadership in Mexico and other key stakeholders in Latin America. The Legal Counsel will handle or manage all local legal matters related to the daily and strategic operations for Volvo Cars, Mexico including matters related to competition law, consumer law, advertising standards, commercial contract review, aftermarket matters, purchasing agreements, corporate governance, real estate matters, financial matters, and dispute resolutions. Labor and tax law is excluded.Experience:The successful candidate will have at least 8+ years of relevant legal and compliance experience, gained at a law firm and a corporate in-house legal department, managing, and advising on legal, compliance and ethics, risk, and national regulatory matters. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.Location:Mexico City, Mexico with travel in Mexico and to Sweden (5-10%) and potentially in Latin America and the US.Relocation:Local candidates preferred.
