Join our world-class team today and fulfill your career potential!The OpportunityWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise System Continuity Mainframe Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with z/OS systems programming, mainframe infrastructure management, and automation processes. In this role, you will manage and optimize our mainframe environment, lead technical initiatives, and ensure the robustness and security of our mainframe systems.What You'll ContributeOversee the day-to-day operations of the mainframe environment, including managing z/OS, JES2, and other critical subsystems.Perform installations, maintenance, and upgrades of z/OS operating systems and ISV software using SMP/E. Handle Parmlib configurations, JES2 customizations, and software deployments.Design, develop, and implement automation strategies to streamline mainframe operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance system performance.Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation. Provide support for disaster recovery and system failures.Ensure all mainframe activities adhere to cybersecurity policies and industry standards. Manage security configurations within RACF and USS.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers and cybersecurity experts, to provide technical guidance and support. Serve as a subject matter expert on mainframe systems.Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for system processes, configurations, and recovery procedures.
