Ensures staff accurately reviews and prepares account reconciliations and interprets accounting standards and regulations. Designs complex operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency of department.**Responsibilities**:- Manages the staff review of month-end closing activates and the preparation of financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, profit-and-loss, and other accounting statements- Leads staff activities for applicable accounting function(s)- Strategically integrates accounting practices, procedures, and process improvements in accordance with accounting standards and regulations and manages interim and year-end audits with internal and external auditors- Manages complex processes to ensure the accurate analysis and reporting of accounting data- Evaluates the accounting and financial impact of operational decisions for larger department initiatives- Utilizes knowledge and expertise to select, develop and evaluate Accounting staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function- Manages budget and critical processes improvement- Recommends changes and develops improved policy and procedures- Builds and maintains relationships with company management. Works closely and partners with senior leadership of function- May manage other supervisory/management level staff**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related filed required. Applicable Accounting certification preferred- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with three years of experience as an Manager Accounting- Experience with complex Accounting issues- Advanced Excel and database skills- Advanced experience with ERP systems- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements- Demonstrated ability to interface with management and executive levels across functions
