Job Summary
Directs commercial or product development program management organization for multiple platforms.
Responsible for profitable and timely execution of all projects and programs within the total portfolio.
Manages and develops managers of program management or program managers.
Main Responsibilities
1. Identify program manager and support timely assembly of the SDT for all new programs in liaison with functional
managers. Decide program priorities when thereare staff shortages
2. Coach and motivate program managers to ensure ownershipof and responsibility for their programs
3. Ensure the program manager leads aprogram matching his experience and ability
4. Develop and follow-up individualdevelopment plans for their program managers and support the Director of Program
ManagementEurope in providing systems, tools, training and strategic planning for program management
5. Review periodically program deliverables (e.g. timeline, SOW, Issues List) with the PM to ensure realistic planning
and help review risks
6. Participate in Program Management Steering Committee meetings and Review PLUS improvements with DPME
(based on "lessons learned" from running programs)
8. Ensure full compliance with BOS across all programs,
9. Review business plans with senior management & identify program management needs (incl. BU Advance SDT
planning)
10. Schedule Program Reviews and Phase ExitReviews on a regular basis and ensure participation by relevant
stakeholders
