Grow your career as a successful Senior Manager, Financial Reporting with ALG Vacations. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for both internal and external management, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and other relevant regulations and guidelines. You will also oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, including but not limited to review of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statement analytics. A successful Senior Manager, Financial Reporting will: Review comparative financial statements including the income statement and balance sheet under required accounting standards as well as KPIs. Provide commentary on results to management. Serve as key contributor in preparation and review of internal monthly reporting schedules on financial and business results as well as joint venture reporting to owners as needed. Supervise the accounting team during month-end close processes to ensure tasks are completed timely and in compliance with required accounting standards. Review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Propose changes to accounting treatment under required accounting standards when changes in business occurs; partner with managementto implement changes accordingly. Assist with internal and external audit requests and requirements. Ensure compliance with internal controls; recommend enhancements as needed. Identify and drive improvements to processes that will result in reductions to financial exposure and increases in efficiency. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues. Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance. Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting. "Big Four" firm experience is desirable. Knowledge of multiple accounting standards (i.E. NIF, US GAAP). Supervisory responsibilities that require ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals. Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of SAP and Alteryx is desirable. Strong skillset in technical accounting and analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English. Ability and willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced corporate environment.
