**About the role**
The senior HPS manager will adapt, define the global Harman Production System process into the Lifestyle Division Professional solution business. The function will provide leadership into definition, introduction ,leading, maintaining the mindset of the continues improvement, lean culture.
This role will direct the functions for all in-house plants (Hungary, UK, Mexico, China), in a cross functional organization. The job contains responsibility to develop, lead and grow a world-class organization, motivating staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues and driving a LEAN manufacturing culture. Involvement of the shop floor via good idea system introduction is a request to enable the extension of the Kaizen culture and continues improvement.
The position is fully responsible for all factories related HPS activities within the Harman Lifestyle Division Professional solution incl. a system build out of measurable indicators.
To extend the lean culture, improvements, the function has to lead not only the production entities, but has to support any other indirect organization within Professional solution( Quality, Sourcing, SIOP)
This function has to support a business with ~ 900 Mio USD yearly turnover.
**Your Team**
Your team will have 4 employees ( 1FTE from each plant) around the globe as a matrix organization, and from all other function (quality, SIOP, sourcing) additional support members.
**What You Will Do**
- Define, adapt ,follow the strategy, vision and purpose of the world wide Harman Production System
- Lead the process end-to-end in the entire organization of Professional Solution
- Be ambassador of the EHS activities as well, define rules for the safety work environment
- Improve, adapt a global system based on business requirement
- Introduction of the tools in connection of the Lean philosophy
- Develop and coordinate the Kaizen event system
- Lead business impacted Kaizen events
- Build, maintain and improve continuous improvement system
- Integrate Lean activities into the daily work of the organization
- Train, educate HPS tools and Lean philosophy items in the entire organization
- Introduce, follow up, supervise and manage good idea system
- Collaboration during new product implementation
- Define 5 S standards, as well for production, as well for office environment
**What You Need**
- BA/BS Degree; MBA or Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in lean manufacturing
- Project Management Skills: exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills
- Very good people management
- Fluent English knowledge
- Capability, willingness to work in a worldwide, cross functional environment
**Eligible for travelling**
- Willingness to travel up to 25 % of the time.
