**SUMMARY DESCRIPTION**:
**State the overall function or purpose of the job.**
- This position is intended to lead all Access functions in the country and to build up a sustainable business platform that can support Biomarin to successfully launch current and future products
- He (she) will be responsible for a building/ maintaining relationships with both internal/ external customers including: BioMarin team (Local TMs, Access persons US and LATAM), Individual physicians for institutions, administrative personnel from Government offices, Hospitals, Patient Advocacy Groups, political persons and KDM's / KOL´s, etc.
- This position will provide will be responsible to support all kinds of processes related to start a new patient on therapy to keep a patient on therapy, making sure that all documentation, requirements and paperwork are fulfilled to complete the respective approvals.
- He (she) will maintain very close & strategic relationships with the stakeholders for every payer; so at any moment Biomarin will be able to follow up on each institution (IMSS, ISSSTE, SEGURO POPULAR, SEDENA, MARINA, PEMEX and Others)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**List the major responsibilities of the job.**
- Create and maintain a Strategic Access Plan for all Biomarin products
- This position is responsible for all activities and execution of these Strategic Access Plan
- Design, prepare, and support tender relevant submissions to gain positive outcomes from Common Drug Review, public formularies as well as institutional buying groups.
- Identify, map and manage all KDM's and their organizational relationships in key stakeholder groups (payer, government and physicians).
- To lead the all the activities for preparation of the Dossier (preparation, discussion, analysis, network with medical, Access and Commercial) and send to approval internally, in order to submit for different Mexican Government authorities
- Create and maintain relationships with GEL (IMSS)
- Acknowledge the process for including product of Biomarin (IMSS)
- Create and maintain relationships with each state´s REP´S.
- Recognize the process of accreditation the hospitals in SP.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to build/ maintain ongoing business relationships with PEMEX (Cureme)
- Experience with process buy up of the ISSSTE
- Strong relationship with KOL´s of the ISSSTE
- Prepare and send progress reports.
- Support the commercial area of each state.
- Support the commercial partner in the negotiations (Institutions, state, etc)

Responsible for supporting commercial budget controls under the supervision of Country Manager and Finance Access responsible

**EDUCATION**:
Bachelor and/or with MBA (Economist, Administration, Health Sciences, etc)

**EXPERIENCE**:
**State both the minimum and the preferred number of years of relevant experience, and describe the essential functions of the job.**
- A minimum 3-5 years of experience in Access for LSDs or expensive products
- Strong experience in Public Relations, Public Affairs and Government relationships
- In-house experience at a pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization strongly preferred
- Excellent written, oral, communication, and presentation skills.
- English level for basic communication with internal colleagues in US
- Proven ability to work with all levels of management and commercial sales.
- Strong problem solving and organization skills.
- Knowledge and experience preparing and submitting dossiers and state formularies.
- Ability to review and analyze business and medical data.
- Ability to work competently in software programs including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others in addressing complex issues.
- Motivated, self-starter with ability to appropriately prioritize issues, allocate resources, and be capable of working alone and making sound decisions
- Customer-oriented thinking
- Demonstrate willingness to grow and develop with the company
