SummaryDetailed DescriptionMaintains responsibility for a set of projects developed by Celestica's Global Design Services organization.Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.Collaborates with the Commodity Management function to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.Leads the supply chain management process for customers from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.Provides leadership in the analysis of costed customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers.Works with the Global Design team to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products.Provides direction to Commodity Management teams on contract negotiations.Supports quarterly business reviews with customers and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers. Leads process development and development of commodity strategies.Has regular communication with customers related to demand, commitments, non-performing inventory, and future process changes/improvements.Provides direct and indirect supervision to all supporting managers and employees performing highly specialized roles in several major functions or departments.Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-national or global basis. Has overall P&L responsibility for site operations or operational accountability for global business units.Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Has overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing, and maintaining costs, methods, and employees in a functional area.Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters in area of responsibility to ensure achievement of objectives. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in related field (Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience with 12+ years of relevant experience.Extensive knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials, and processes.In-depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain management and inventory management.Ability to understand the complete supply chain and resolve issues.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem resolution skills.Strong communication and presentation skills.Able to resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally.Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management.Ability to effectively lead, manage, train, and motivate a diverse group of managers and employees.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.Able to work effectively cross-functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives.Regular travel will be required (20%).Physical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.Occasional overnight travel is required.Typical ExperienceNine plus years of relevant experience.Typical EducationBachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Engineering, or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.Educational requirements may vary by geography.NotesThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
