With our strong presence in the region and our talented team, we are well-positioned to deliver innovative solutions that improve the safety and reliability of vehicles.**Your Role**:- Design all Mechanical aspects of products in Flow 4. Reuse prior design aspects to the extent possible.- Create mechanical design concepts and develop mechanical aspects of products through SOP- Identify part materials, specs and understand Manufacturing methods.- Create Designs with GD&T as per American and ISO Standards.- Participate in quoting process for all new products with mechanical aspects.- Create Mechanical BOM for new pursuits and create and release mechanical BOM for projects in PDP.- Review, accept, implement, and verify all mechanical product requirements.- Create & Implement Mechanical verification plan based on customer requirement & DFMEA.- Review and approve Validation test plans w.R.T customer/internal test requirements.- Using 6Sigma methods & tools, analysis and resolve Mechanical failures in validation/verification.- Ensure producibility of the design- Ensure compliance to Design Standards.- Create Mechanical Special Product Characteristics (KPCs/QCIs) based on product functionality.- Meet project commitments (Time, Cost, Quality), including documentation of work.- Coordinate with FEA, Tooling, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality engineers to develop 1st time quality parts/products.- Ensure prototype & production parts meet design prints, and resolve any issues.- In cases where a large project has multiple Mechanical Engineers, one Mechanical Engineer may be tasked with the leadership role in assigning and ensuring all accountabilities are covered by the team. They may be informally referred to as the "Lead" Mechanical Engineer.- Define and verify Dimensional Management aspects of design.- Convey complete and accurate information to MCAD per MCAD design requirements- Provide technical support for product builds- Document Mechanical Design changes following Change Management II process- Approve dimensional portion of PPAP package for all new mechanical parts and products and resolve any issues.- Create and maintain DFMEA- Escalate issues for program timing slips or technical problems
