.The Network Engineer is responsible for the ongoing development of Network health and capability assessments in line with future business needs and growth. The Network Optimization Team is responsible for providing proactive insight and making strategic recommendations for Network enhancements; ranging from bandwidth and equipment upgrades, through to design changes in partnership with the Network Architecture operations and business application teams. Furthermore, central to this role will be partnering with application and business leads on defining strategic recommendations and roadmaps in line with Application and business strategies.The ideal candidate will have deep experience of networking technologies, such as routing, switching and wireless networking. They must also have a background in application performance management, service delivery and strategic planning.The Network Engineer will be a member of the Global Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering organization, serving as a subject matter expert in the area of Network Architecture and Engineering. The resource will provide thought leadership, technical oversight, and ensure that network solutions meet PepsiCo requirements.Your ImpactAs Network Engineer, your scope would consist of:Develop and maintain a three-year plan for the Network Optimization TeamProvide network optimization and capability needs for strategic business and budget planningDevelop heat-maps and optimization plans for data center networks, campus networks and all WAN, LAN and WLAN connectivityMonitor and analyze statistical data to develop improvement plans for network and application performanceProvide an effective network capacity planning framework in partnership with Capacity ManagementPartner with Application teams to drive standards for optimal network performanceProvide tier 3 operational support for critical business issues that require deep network performance analysisProduce architecture and engineering specifications and design documentsLead the Engineering direction and design issues as well as influence peers and cross-functional partnersEffectively present facts and recommendations in oral and written formWho Are We Looking For?Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related qualificationExperience:In-depth experience and knowledge of Networking technologies is required
