Senior Network Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Network Specialist that can travel to The Hague, Netherlands.Position: Senior Network SpecialistObjective: Within the Datacenter Network Operations department, we are looking for an experienced network administrator to strengthen the Datacenter LAN team.Responsibilities:Managing and implementing changes to the core network of the datacenters, based on Cisco FabricPath and Cisco ACI.This includes scripting/automating changes within ACI, creating/deleting/modifying port profiles, VPCs (Virtual Port Channels), CPEs (Customer-Premises Equipment), and VRFs within the BGP/MPLS network.Responsible for drafting network implementation plans (NIP), applying software updates, executing standard operational activities (such as checking backups), monitoring, addressing third-line incidents, and participating in projects and problem-solving teams.The Government Datacenter (ODC) houses and hosts, among others, 7 ministries and several other (national) government agencies. Within this complex environment, SSC ICT serves both the Enterprise (for individual ministries) and Service Provider roles.To ensure continuity within the DCLAN team, we are now looking for an experienced network administrator.Requirements:CCNP certified.Experience with Cisco ACI.Desirable:Experience in a datacenter.Experience in automation (Ansible and/or GIT and/or Python, etc.).Experience in:BGPMPLSVarious monitoring systemsTicketing systemsExperience with:Monitoring tools (CheckMK/HP NNMI)SplunkEnglish advanced skills are requiredDuration: 28.11.2024 - 29.05.2025 (5 months)36 hours per weekLocation: On-site employmentExpected start date: 28/11/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
