.Tasks- Responsible for leading the activities of packaging engineering for plants in the bus. area AN.- Lead the design, development, validation and implementation of new or modified packaging solutions for all plants in the business area- Working within cross-functional teams (quality, finance, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and outside vendors) to identify, develop, and implement optimal packaging solutions- Project initiative and coordination of cost savings initiatives as related to package designs and materials- Evaluation of internal and vendor packaging conformance to project and product requirements.- Create, maintain and communicate primary, secondary, and pallet packaging specifications within the business area for all new and running products- Evaluate, review, and approve packaging specifications- Supporting Material Flow process improvements in the plants for all areas in warehouse and manufacturing.- Manage cross-functional project teams: lead all elements of a project lifecycle through deliverable implementation, develop and track test plans to qualify designs, interface with team members from other functional areas, track project / product financials- Support the plants for implementation of best practices and evaluate management of empties (MoE) activities- Coordination of returnable container inventories amongst plants to ensure proper distribution, purchase, disposal, etc. processes are followed.**Qualifications**:- 5 yrs.+ experience in Packaging Engineering and Design- Desirable experience in other SCM related functions - general knowledge of the Continental landscape of SCM processes, systems, tools and procedures.- Project management experience with proven projects at multi-functional level or multi-location level- Knowledge in packaging requirements for all transport modes.- Knowledge of the Continental New Product Launch and Material Lifecyle procedures- Knowledge of the Continental packaging and labeling standards, as well as Industry and Automotive standards.- SKILLS: Advanced English (+80%), Project Management, Change Management, Negotiation,About usContinental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.
