Make It With Pride.Working as part of a cross-functional team, you lead RDQ activities to complete packaging design and packaging deployment for innovation/growth projects and productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.Primary responsibilities of the position:Lead and maintain an agenda for NA projects in Productivity Commercialization, Pipeline Building & Scoping, Waste Reduction, Quality Improvement, and Business Continuity Planning.Execute Productivity programs across the NA manufacturing network in Mexico, US, and Canada, covering all products including Biscuits, Chocolate, and Candy.Strong technical understanding of packaging components and manufacturing networks to build and maintain the Productivity Pipeline.Follow the i2m process for assigned projects and maintain communication with key stakeholders.Lead plant trials for packaging materials, coordinating with cross-functional teams.Design, plan, and conduct analytical testing, line trials, and package performance testing.Build and maintain relationships with key pack material vendors.Generate, develop, and execute packaging ideas leveraging existing and new equipment.Troubleshoot issues arising from package development and commercialization.What you will bring:A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career along with the following experience and knowledge:Functional/Technical Expertise:Experience in a Research & Development function.Experience managing projects within a plant environment.Planning and project management abilities.Experience in package development processes.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Experience in development, trials, and commercialization of packaging initiatives.Competencies/Abilities:Apply technical material knowledge to current projects.Apply knowledge of packaging equipment, operation, and limitations.Apply knowledge of test methodologies for packaging materials specification development.Apply knowledge around the printing process to determine its effect on package performance.Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to prioritize and manage complexity.Executional excellence, time management, and problem-solving competencies.Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.Experience:Minimum of 5 years in a packaging development or R&D role.Advanced English & Spanish language skills.Travel requirements:Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for domestic vendor/manufacturing visits
