The successful candidate will perform payroll activities for Mexico and the United States.
As a Payroll Specialist under general supervision, the role involves a variety of complex functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification, and reconciliation of employee data, payroll/benefit records, and payments.
The key component of the role is to ensure that our employees are paid correctly and on time, with a focus on process improvement, consistency, and documentation.
Responsibilities:Responsibility for assigned country payrolls, including processing payrolls, calculating bonus payments, starters and leavers, and salary payments.Ensuring that payroll processes align with global directions, legal and taxation standards, procedures, and comply with legislative obligations and internal auditing requirements.Performing standard payroll controls, including SOX controls and respective evidences.Preparing a Net to pay file per legal entity and controlling generated bank files.Managing final payroll settlement based on data received from HR Generalists and payroll data.Full administration of Mexico monthly contributions (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, ISPT).Cooperating with payroll vendors for seamless and timely delivery.Managing year-end payroll processes and tax year-end activities.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.5+ years' experience processing, validating, and analyzing weekly payroll for a headcount of at least 500.5+ years' experience dealing with Mexican tax authorities (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, SAT).Experience with Tress Revolution, Paylocity, or any other payroll cloud-based system is an advantage.Experience with SOX compliance.Experience working in a remote environment.Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.Strong communication skills.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple activities.Strong analytical skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.
