Purchases and negotiates materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers. Evaluates supplier quotes and services to determine the most suitable providers.Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.Experience:
- 3–5 years in similar roles (materials planning, procurement, supply chain management).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or others).Responsibilities:Strategic Materials Planning
- Develop and oversee the master materials plan (MRP) based on sales forecasts, production capacity, and key client demands.
- Implement advanced planning strategies like Just-In-Time (JIT), Kanban, or Lean Supply Chain.
- Identify potential supply shortages and develop contingency plans.
- Analyze demand trends to anticipate medium- and long-term needs.Strategic Procurement Management
- Negotiate supply contracts with critical suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and delivery times.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full) and PPM (Parts Per Million).
- Identify and develop new strategic suppliers locally and internationally.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure the sustainability of the supply chain.Inventory Optimization
- Design strategies to reduce obsolete inventory and optimize turnover rates.
- Supervise and improve inventory level accuracy through audits and analysis.
- Implement technologies and tools to monitor and control inventories (e.G., RFID, IoT).
- Ensure a balance between sufficient inventory levels and storage costs.Leadership and Interdepartmental Coordination
- Serve as the main liaison between production, quality, engineering, and logistics departments to ensure an efficient materials flow.
- Lead teams or projects related to supply chain optimization.
- Provide mentoring and training to Junior Planner Buyers and other team members.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma) within the supply chain.Analysis and Reporting
- Generate advanced reports for senior management on supply chain performance (costs, compliance, savings).
- Use advanced data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau) to identify areas of improvement.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Monitor and present key metrics, such as purchasing costs, supplier efficiency, and inventory levels.Compliance and Regulations
- Ensure all purchases comply with local and international regulations (INCOTERMS, customs, environmental regulations).
- Align with internal policies on quality, ethics, and sustainability.
- Supervise audits related to procurement and suppliers.Technical Skills:
