**What you'll do**:This position is responsible for converting customer demand/requirements in SAP to production signals trough a Production Plan. This plan must bealigned to Plant specific goals such as On time delivery, Productivity, Sales, DOH and Past due. This position is the main plant contact for theCustomer Service Representative that handles the product families under hers/his planning scope. This position can act as the planning lead back up and should be abel to assist and provide guidance to other planners in their day to day activities.**Job Responsibilities and authority**:1 Follow MRP signals to create work orders timely to satisfy customer demand, achieve desired safety stock and maintain work flow on the production line in alignment with the Master Production Schedule.2 Create and deliver a production plan and sequence to achieve OTD, Sales and Productivity.3 Communicate and coordinate with product line supervisors/leaders and purchasing teams to ensure schedule attainment and recovery if required4 Monitor and report to purchasing area material shortages5 Communicate frequently, proactively with customer service team to meet or exceed customer expectations and maintain up to date backlog status6 Follow up with production control status of work orders, investigate factors that affect schedules to modify production plan as necessary7 Follow escalation process of potential issues related with OTD, sales and productivity and support action plan for short and long term solutions8 Develop and participate (as required) in negotiation process of Eaton claims (i.e., cost, time, rework, scrap, labor, sorting charges) with suppliers regarding non-conforming material9 Support NPI team as required10 Support the Planning lead and act as a back up for critical activities11 Support the Quality standards for our customer specific requirements and certifications *ISO, IATF**EHS Responsibilities**:- Separate hazardous waste from the common waste.- Place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers.- Keep clean the work área contaminant free.- Do not waste water.- Report any activity that may jeopardize my safety and the environment.- Identify and properly dispose all the chemicals that may contaminate the environment.- Ensure the correct container for the disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills).- Report the entry of new Chemicals required for Maintenance purposes due to mantain a record updated and assure the compliance of the correct handling of them.- Contain oil spills and repair as necessary."**Qualifications**:- Bachelor Degree Engineering or Administration- 3+ years of experience in production planning in an automotive manufacturing environment or- similar. 3+ experience in MRP Planning- Strong knowledge on SAP and Excel. APICS certification (preferable).Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.- Proactive & results driven; Team work; Negotiation skills; Ability to prioritize activities
