- The **_Pricing Analyst _**will deliver insights that help guide business decisions and support go-forward pricing strategies.
- The Analyst will work on projects that range from creating dashboards that monitor key metrics to formulating action plans alongside of his/her teammates that define best practice as it pertains to category coverage and price competitiveness.
- This position will appeal to an individual who is comfortable with detailed analytical work and can work both independently and in support capacity with a cross functional multi-disciplined team.
- This person will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to help guide this pricing strategy providing effective recommendations to support pricing operations at all levels of management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage pricing requests that are either tactical or deal based through analysis, price implementation, communication, and reporting.
- Deliver consistent, detailed, and accurate category analysis overview.
- Provide timely, value-added insights, and recommendations for the customer that develops proper relations, rapport, and helps achieve category and customer objectives.
- Develop and provide analytics regarding price and supplier stocking on regular and ad hoc basis.
- Aptitude to analyze large sets of discrete data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by a strong attention to detail and driven toward developing and communicating key insights.
- Demonstrate ability to set priorities, function independently on a variety of simultaneous projects, and meet deadlines.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience. Degrees in business analytics is an asset.
- 3 years + of experience or more evaluating, analyzing, and recommending pricing strategies with large sets of data.
- Experience in category analysis is ideal, but may consider procurement analysis, sourcing, ideally category analysis.
- Price scrapping experience is a strong asset.
- Analytics: Competency in developing business/category knowledge, and ability to leverage analytics and data.
- Operational Discipline: Ability to consistently deliver granular, time-bound projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel is required (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas).
- Experienced with Data visualization, presenting data to business leaders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Power Point, Word required.
- SQL queries experience is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau a plus.
