Danfoss Mexico is looking for an experienced Senior Product Engineer based in our Apodaca Plant. As our new Senior Product Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall CC product range (compressors and related accessories/components/services). Perform a variety of engineering assignments applicable to product development, product sustaining, cost reduction, resourcing, product validation extension, technology bricks evolutions. Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and maintain overall CC product range (compressors and related accessories/components/services).Perform a variety of engineering assignments applicable to product development, product sustaining, cost reduction, resourcing, product validation extension, technology bricks evolutions.Mainly adapt existing specifications and designs to match new product and/or process requirements with a high level of complexity (complex design & process changes).Define technical specifications of components.Update technical specifications of existing products.Conduct execution of design evolutions as needed to match new technical requirements having a high degree of complexity for:adaptation of existing components/product features.adoption of new manufacturing processes in the context of sustaining.cost down activities.Consult other departments to answer any questions on equipment, designs, tests, and processes.Verify that risks are identified and mitigated with appropriate methodologies and tools before releasing designs and prototypes. Carry out risk mitigation process for any new design change being worked out.Define validation plan related to components or modification on existing products, ensure verifications and validations of design changes are compliant with internal design guidelines, ensure compliance with procedures and technical policies.Lead execution of the validation plan following the defined schedule: prototype components supply, compressor assembly in model shop, test execution with the laboratory.Organize technical information and documentation to be ready for technical project reviews (Specifications, drawings, DFMEA, Verification & Validation data, quality controls, safety requirements, etc.) and ensure documents follow existing project management processes & templates.Work with CAD designers to define new designs, layouts, and 3D models as needed per technical requirements. Guarantees Tolerance & Dimensioning standards applied are consistent with engineering requirements.Use CAD tools to evaluate and check designs (Creo, stackups sheets, balancing sheets, etc.).Bring any uncertainty observed on critical design items to the attention of the right management level.Act on high complexity topics with direction from local management.Support technical decisions with data & test results.Describe problems in a clear fact-based manner and escalate on time to his/her manager.Propose reliable deadlines and alert in case of deviation.Cooperate with local and global CC R&D members.Exchange with other functions (supply chain, manufacturing, model shop, labs, etc.).Participate in technical meetings with suppliers.Exchange as needed with manufacturing, prototyping, or purchasing in order to find the design at the optimal cost for the company.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering.Minimum of 5 years in Product Engineering.Experience working in a Manufacturing Plant.HVAC Experience and Knowledge.Mechanical Design Experience.Proficient in Microsoft Tools.Advanced English.Employee BenefitsWe are excited to offer you the following benefits with your employment:
