As a Product Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge software systems that enable Aptiv's advanced safety and user experience solutions.
**Your Role**
At Aptiv, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that make transportation safer, greener, and more connected. Our System Engineer is responsible for the analysis of Customer Requests on SYS.1 level. In SYS.2 this employ will specify and describe the Use Cases and the Functions, as Product System Requirements (in the Product Definition Document - PDD). In your daily job you will be:
- Reassuring, that all Stakeholder Requests (scope of the work requested by customer) is clearly defined
- Responsible that all needed Customer specifications and customer specific requirements for the product are collected and maintained
- Responsible for the analysis of the system:
- Defines the System Functions and allocates the System Elements to build up the Functional Architecture
- Identifies and creates the Use Cases (EndToEnd functions) of the system, product or platform
- Refines Use Cases to identify System Functions
- Responsible for the consistent documentation of Uses Cases and System Functions in the PDD:
- Specifies Uses Cases and is responsible for the completeness towards Stakeholder Requirements and establishes traceability, verification criteria and responsibilities
- Specifies System Functions and is responsible for the completeness towards Stakeholder Requirements and establishes traceability, verification criteria and responsibilities
- Specifies non-functional product requirements, process and project execution requirements, requirements for test and validation, requirements for manufacturing
- Coordinates and aligns system requirements with all affected competencies and ensures review of system requirements and clarification of resulting issues
- Clarifies open questions with customer with support from Product System Function Owner
- Participates in Program Increment Planning, System check out tests, System Demos and Retrospectives
- Provides oversight and foster Built-In Quality
**Your Background**
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software,
or related field of study)
- 5 years of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
- Familiar with Embedded system designs
- Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
