International Expansion Payments includes larger payments teams such as software development, product management, and technical operations. This team is responsible for driving the best payment experience for international customers by launching local payment methods and additional payment features.
This role is responsible for managing product/project launch and driving and ensuring the success of the objectives to improve customer experience. This role requires serving as a hands-on analyst, resolving escalations, and managing Payments' partners and internal clients. It is critical that the successful candidate can communicate internally across teams and externally with partners, both written and verbally.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. They must be a fast learner, who can quickly absorb the nuances of Amazon's varied payment offerings as well as the behavior of Amazon's internal systems. The candidate will be analytical in their decision-making, with the demonstrated ability to drive issues to completion and have a passion for supplying their clients with data.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesManage cross-border payment roadmap and relationships with third-party partners and internal teams to execute the roadmap.Define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, and drive improvements.Articulate scope, timeline, owners, risks, and the steps to mitigate those risks.Accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.Recommend and drive projects to improve customer pain points within the larger Payments organization and services across Amazon.Work with technology and operations teams to drive payment processing performance improvement after launch.Define metrics for assessing performance and trends.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS7+ years of program or project management experience7+ years of owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience7+ years of defining and executing against program timeline & requirements experience7+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional projects experienceExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field
