Who will you be working with? Our Operations Excellence team is responsible for driving standardization across Wabtec in the areas of Industry 4.0, Lean, Global Materials, SIOP and Supplier Development.
As a member of our Industry 4.0 (Digital Transformation) team, you will be responsible for driving Manufacturing Execution System (MES) deployments across our supply chain network.
You will work closely with our IT, Integration and Manufacturing teams to impart state-of-the-art automation within our network of global manufacturing facilities.
How will you make a difference? The Senior Project Leader will create and deploy the strategy for conversion of legacy production control systems to the Wabtec MES.
They will also work cross-functionally to define future state MES functionality, while ensuring global process standardization, and flexibility for continuous improvement.
What do we want to know about you? Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Supply Chain or IT environment)Minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain, Operations, or IT experienceMinimum of 5 years of Oracle ERP experienceProven functional depth within discipline.Demonstrated Project / Program Management ability.Advanced finance acumenExcellent organizational integration and influencing skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsStrong presentation skills and ability to communicateProven track record for meeting customer / business needsClear thinking and strong prioritization skillsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification recommendedWhat will your typical day look like? Collaborate with IT regarding design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's MES platformCollaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, IT, etc.)
to understand business requirements and translate them into MES system specificationsManage the MES system lifecycle, including upgrades, patches, and integrations with other enterprise systemsDevelop and maintain MES-related standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materialsProvide technical support and troubleshooting for MES-related issues reported by production and other teamsMonitor MES system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvementStay up-to-date with the latest MES technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and recommend strategic improvementsEnsure MES system compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and company policiesCollaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain the security and integrity of the MES systemDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the MES systemAbility to travel 35% both international and domesticYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
