We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Guadalajara, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
Project Manager Provides project management of multiple large scale, complex, high profile and high-risk projects for Client IT initiatives. Ensures project deliverables meet clients' business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance utilizing Client's project management methodologies and frameworks. Actively promote continuous improvement in Project Delivery Team processes, tools and technologies.
Levels Project Manager: 3-6 years experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously. Required Skills Knowledge and understanding of Project Management's Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge. PMP certification or equivalent preferred. Knowledge and understanding of Information Management (including record keeping) policies and practices. Experience working with global teams. Manufacturing industry experience working in a customer facing role. Proven experience with: Developing project plans including, but not limited to, aspects such as project objectives, measurable metrics, tools to be used, impacted systems, system specifications, schedules, project budgeting and stakeholders. Prioritizing critical tasks during the planning phase to ensure critical functionality continuity in the short term. Articulating project objectives and establishing tracking mechanisms to measure and track these objectives. Updating key stakeholders, their roles on the project and their upstream and downstream system dependencies. Identifying change management needs and process changes to prepare detailed organization-wide change management strategies for all teams impacted by systems implementations, upgrades, and ongoing modifications. Managing project execution to adhere to the project budget, scope and schedule. Reporting statuses, progress, risks, and deviations to the steering committee, executive leadership (where needed) and key stakeholders. Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies to plan tasks, perform effort estimations where needed, create test scripts with SMEs and coordinate the activities of all project personnel to ensure that the project moves towards its goals. Leading planning and execution of projects including funding gate requests. Gathering and developing requirements to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan. Sourcing, selecting and on-boarding team members in various disciplines. Clarifying roles and responsibilities and setting task/deliverable/performance expectations for all resources. Resolving resourcing and inter-personal conflicts, negotiating changes to resourcing, and ensuring knowledge is shared amongst team members so that project objectives and deliverables are met. Effectively managing large project budgets and ensuring a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates, forecasts, and reconciliation/confirmation of actuals. Proactively identifying potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed. Articulating and prioritizing issues and risks at senior management levels and recommending mitigation strategies for decision makers. Establishing and participating in steering committee and stakeholder forums. Providing project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior management levels. Using appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects - concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-out. Promoting Client IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality, adherence to standard methodology and the control of the use of IT resources. Must be fluent in English (spoken and written). This position requires a valid Canadian Security Clearance.
